Cities of the World

Whoever you are and whatever you do, every person on earth has a hometown. The place where you take your first steps, where you grew up and learned your first lessons of life.
Born and raised in Venlo (a city in the south of the Netherlands with 102.000 inhabitants), I always took pictures of the changes in the city. Just like my father, who passed the way several years ago, did.

At some point I learned ‘panoramic techniques’ and during the years I perfected it. Taking photos based on a concept is really my thing. The panorama shows not only the conscious, the unconscious also plays a role and that’s what I capture in a square image. All photos below are made with panoramic techniques.

Traveling the world with my camera, I took pictures in cities like New York and Duisburg.
